The Phalaris canariensis, more commonly known as Canary Grass, originates as its name indicates from the Canary Islands, but is now grown all over the world. Currently, the biggest producer of Phalaris canariensis is Canada, but our crops are sown, grown, harvested and dried in Holland. Phalaris is also grown as a food crop and a birdseed as well as a fantastic dried grass. It can be added into any floral arrangement and looks just as good mixed with fresh flowers too. Just a few stems in your arrangement and the feeling is natural and stylish. Phalaris grasses also colour really well and we can supply in a wide range of extravagant colours such as blue and orange. For a softer look the "misty" pastel tones work equally well.
